Fruit vs Candy vs Ice: Picking Your First Vape Flavour Family

Fruit vs Candy vs Ice: Picking Your First Vape Flavour Family

Most first orders go wrong the same way: someone scrolls a list of two hundred flavour names, picks whatever sounds nice, and ends up with ten devices they only half like. The fix is to stop shopping by name. Almost everything we sell falls into one of three broad families — fruit, candy and dessert-sweet, or ice — and once you know which family you belong to, choosing the actual flavour is easy. Pick the family first. The name comes second.

The three families, in plain terms

Fruit

Straight fruit, no confectionery sweetness and no chill: strawberry, mango, pineapple, grape, berry blends, tropical mixes. It is the biggest family in our range by a long way and the one that reorders most consistently, which is roughly what you would expect — fruit is the default category across the whole disposable market, not just our shelves. Fruit flavours read as juice rather than lolly, so they tend to be the easiest to sit on for weeks without getting sick of them. Good starting points from stock: GROO MAX Strawberry Kiwi, Passion Fruit Mango and Blueberry Peach Smoothie; IGET Moon Strawberry Watermelon, Melon Pineapple Orange and Pineapple Coconut; IGET Bar Pro Kiwi Pineapple and Strawberry Raspberry.

Candy and dessert-sweet

The lolly shop end: bubble gum, lollipop, rainbow candy, soft drink and the odd creamy or roasted profile. These taste noticeably sweeter and rounder than fruit, and they are the family people either love immediately or find sickly after a day. Ours include GODFATHER 9 Rainbow Candy and Strawberry Lollipop; IGET Bar Pro Fruity Skittles, Chuppa Chupps Grape and Bluberry Raspberry Bubble Gum; IGET ONE Chupa Chups Strawberry and Black Forest; GROO MAX Skittles, Energy Drink and Coffee. If sweet is your lane, our Skittles and candy flavour guide goes deeper on which ones hold up.

Ice

Worth clearing up once: "Ice" on a label means a cooling sensation, not a mint flavour — a Blueberry Ice is blueberry that feels cold, not blueberry with mint in it. Ice sits on top of the other two families rather than replacing them, which is why so many names are a fruit plus the word Ice. The chill sharpens the flavour and makes it feel cleaner and less sweet, and it is the family that sells hardest through an Australian summer. Try IGET Bar Lush Ice, Blackberry Ice or Pineapple Ice; IGET ONE Blueberry Ice, Mixed Berries Ice or Strawberry Kiwi Ice; GROO MAX Banana Ice or Lush Ice; GODFATHER 9 Frozen Grape or Arctic Blueberry.

Picking your family

What you were used to before matters

Customers who came across from cigarettes usually tell us the same thing: candy flavours feel too much at first, and a plain fruit or a fruit ice lands better. There is a straightforward reason — a heavy sweet profile is unlike anything they were used to, while a cold, sharp flavour is closer to familiar territory. If vaping is your starting point rather than a switch, you have no such baggage and the candy family is a perfectly reasonable first stop.

Weather does more than people expect

Ice sells noticeably harder over a Queensland or Northern Territory summer, and non-iced fruit and sweet flavours creep back up over a Melbourne or Hobart winter. If you are ordering in January, weight your box towards ice. In July, do the opposite. Nobody is stopping you doing the reverse — plenty of our regulars run ice year-round — but it is a genuinely useful default.

All-day flavour or novelty?

Be honest about which you are buying. An all-day flavour is one you can run for a fortnight without noticing it — that is almost always a mid-sweetness fruit or a light fruit ice. A novelty flavour is one you want to try, enjoy for two days and put down. Candy and dessert profiles are brilliant as novelty and hard work as an all-day. Most people need one of each.

Why your first ten should be mixed

Free shipping kicks in at 10 or more, so most first orders land there anyway — and ten of one flavour is the single most common mistake we see. You cannot know your family until you have tasted across it, and running one profile continuously is also the fastest way to stop tasting it at all, which we cover in our guide on why vape flavour fades. A sensible ten is roughly five fruit, three ice and two candy, adjusted for the season. Buy a multi-flavour box rather than singles and that mix is built for you at a lower price per unit. Everything we ship is 100% original stock, sent fast and discreetly Australia-wide.

Once you know your family, narrow down inside it — our best disposable flavours guide ranks the individual names within each one. Products are for adults 21+.
